Interntional symposium. "Learning environment for communities of practice EACP 08 ' The international symposium "learning environment for communities of practice" EACP'08 organized under the auspices of the European project Palette: "pedagogically sustained Adaptive Learning Through the exploitation of Tacit and Explicit knowledge", whose goal is the improvement of individual and collective learning CoP members, was held for two days at the auditorium of the Faculty of Medicine in the presence of the rector, students, researchers, teachers. The objective of this event is also double, but provide search results publicity they deserve and dialogue between researchers and field as Dr. Azeddine Chikh chairman of the Scientific Committee and that the contributions aimed at a interdisciplinary input on the issue raised. They include both technical, educational and sociological. Initiated in the 90s, the concept of personal learning environment, added, was a remarkable development following the rapid development of information technology. The management of a shared space and individually, allowing the collection of incremental resources, linking social and discussion with peers, clearly contributes to the acquisition of knowledge and information sharing. The CoPs are the ideal of individual and collective learning. For over a decade, communities of practice (CoPs) are part of our landscape. They are present in all types of organizations, businesses and training centers to hospitals and other institutions. They consist of groups of individuals engaged in the same occupation or in the same career to enable them to exchange and share their knowledge, their practices, their ideas and views to find solutions and build new artifacts. The Abu Bekr Belkaid University of Tlemcen, a partner in the project panel, plays a key role in the dissemination activities through CoPs Southern Mediterranean. Thus the first symposium at the University who introduced a state of research on learning individual and collective members of CoPs, is a real crossroads of international researchers and specialists in this area has emphasized more. The symposium was organized in five sessions as Sari Zaki chairman of the organizing committee. The first was devoted to the conference plenary, the second session was reserved for research papers related to the fields of CoPs. While the third session was devoted to the project palette where eminent researchers from the consortium members have submitted work directly related to the project. The fourth session devoted to e-learning and the fifth session was reserved for posters that illustrate the experience.
